RAHIM YAR KHAN - A college principal allegedly used a college bus for his son’s wedding ceremony held last Sunday without fulfilling legal requirements, sources alleged.

The sources said that fuel in the bus of the Govt Khawaja Fareed Postgraduate College was filled from college accounts. However, Deputy Director Colleges Mirza Tanveerul Hassan told this scribe that a principal or any college staff can use college bus following rules and regulations. He was of the view that a principal gets approval from the director colleges and staff members get permission from a principal and they can use official vehicles by depositing fuel amount in advance in their respective college account. When contacted, the principal said that the personal use of an official bus was not illegal, adding that any faculty or staff member can take the bus by paying its fuel charges. He further said that the bus was got released by two professors, Tariq Nadeem and M Ayub, who wanted to take their families in the wedding function of his son Nadeem.
