Student groups’ clash leaves 4 hurt



KARACHI - Four students were injured in a clash between two rival students’ groups in Federal Urdu University here on Monday.
According to detail, students of Islami Jamiat Tulba (IJT) and Imamia Student Organization (ISO) scuffled with each other. They used batons, rods and threw stones at each other.
Four students who sustained injuries were rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi. Police rushed to the spot and managed to control the situation but unable to arrest any of culprits involved in riots. The University administration postponed the exam of MPA Department. Police attributed the clash to the scuffle that had happened in the University of Punjab between the activists of both organisations in Lahore. It is pertinent to mention here that confrontation between the rival organisations has been continued in several others educational institutions.
KU declares LLB part-II result: Karachi University (KU) on Monday announced the results of LLB part-II, annual examination 2011. As per statistics of the results, 715 candidates were registered for the examination, of which 697 appeared, while 220 were declared passed with 31.56 passing percentage.
