QUETTA - Ousted Balochistan speaker Muhammad Aslam Bhootani announced that he would soon challenge his expulsion in the court.

The former speaker said that he would not resort to the court for his restoration rather he wanted to mend the unconstitutional method adopted to remove him.

He thanked those members who did not come to the assembly session and abstained from ‘unconstitutional’ voting. He said that the three members, PPP leader Mir Sadiq Umrani, a minister Jan AliJangaizi and opposition leader Nawabzada Tariq Magsi, showed courage by opposing the no trust motion.

Bhootani said that hence he had refused to summonthe assembly session on provincial government’s requisition, there was no moral justification for him to preside the session.

He said that the government members cast a single vote in his favour to show that he (Bhootani) took part in balloting. If such had been the case, all three members who abstained would have voted in his favour, Bhootani said.
