BAHAWALPUR - A female teacher and her daughter were raped and killed after being kidnapped by unidentified men here on Wednesday.

According to the details, a female teacher Maqboolan Bibi, a resident of Chak no150DP, along with her seven-year-old daughter Faiza Bibi and 15-year-old son Zohaib went to the shrine of Chanan Pir where they were abducted.

Kidnappers killed the teacher and her daughter after raping them while her son was still missing. Police found dead bodies of Maqboolan Bibi and Faiza Bibi near Chanan Pir who were killed by cutting their throats.

PRO to DPO Muhammad Imran told the Nation that police had lodged an FIR 302PPC/365PPC/34PPC against the criminals on the complaint of Maqboolan Bibi’s Brother Muhammad Maqbool Hussain in Police Station Yazman Sadder and police were searching the criminals.

Brother of the deceased Maqboolan Bibi told the Nation that they had no enmity and did not know why his sister and her niece were murdered while her nephew Zohaib was still missing.

He further informed that Maqboolan Bibi’s husband Aashiq Hussain worked in Saudia Arabia.

IUB COLLEGE PRAISED:  Punjab Livestock Secretary Muhammad Irfan Elahi has expressed satisfaction over the performance and progress of the IUB's Veterinary College and said that the college has been fulfilling the demands of livestock and dairy in the area effectively.

He remarked during a meeting with IUB VC Dr Muhammad Mukhtar here the other day.

He said that the Veterinary College students can avail all possible practical assistance from the farms of the Livestock Department to gain better knowledge and experience and all possible assistance would be provided to the students.

He also suggested that the Livestock's Jugait Peer Farm would be more suitable for experiments.

On the occasion, the IUB VC informed the Punjab Livestock Secretary that the Veterinary College's students had been performing well in various departments after completion of their studies.

Later, IUB VC presented a shield to the Punjab Livestock Secretary on this occasion.
