islamabad - The eighth death anniversary of former Prime Minster Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto would be observed across the country today (Sunday).

A local leader of PPP said on Saturday that Quran Khawani for Benazir Bhutto Shaheed will be arranged in the morning while party workers will donate blood for paying tribute to the former prime minister. He said that preparation for the death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is in full swing. He said a large number of the PPP workers would gather at Liaquat Bagh to pay rich tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, a world leader. They would lay floral wreaths at the assassination site of their martyred leader, he added.

Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on December 27, 2007 immediately after addressing a public meeting at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi. A local leader of PPP told APP that central and local leadership of Pakistan People’s Party would address a public meeting at Liaquat Bagh on Sunday. Earlier Fateha would be offered at 11:00am and food would also be distributed.

Meanwhile Qura’an Khawani and fateha khawani would be held at various cities of the country including Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto. Party workers will donate blood for paying tribute to the former prime minister. Pakistan People’s Party has finalised arrangements to observe the death anniversary of its assassinated chairperson Benazir Bhutto on Sunday in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto.

The workers of Pakistan People’s Party would donate blood across the country. The blood donations collected from all over the country would be given to injured soldiers of the armed forces in war against terrorism and patient welfare societies.
