LAHORE - Mohsen Zafar was on top in the Royal Palm Annual Golf Championship here at the Royal Palm golf course on Saturday.

Mohsen carded a gross 73 to top his category while Faisal Sayid’s score was gross 75, two strokes behind the leader of the day after the first round of this championship. Mohsen remained in full command of his game and not only his hitting but also his chipping effort reflected the touch of a champion.

Recently, Mohsen has added to his golfing skills by adding knowledge over technical adjustment of the golf sticks weight and other related improvements and this has helped him to substantially improve his performance and make it consistent. "This knowledge is immensely important and many of our golf champions can substantially enhance their golfing skills if they make use of his knowledge and equipment,” he said.

The valiant and still hopeful ones in gross section are Sardar Murad Khan who scored a 79, Amer Mehmood, Farid Malik and Umair Butt all placed at gross 80. Faisal Ali Malik is at 81, Shahid Iqbql at 83 and Shoaib Bokhari at 84.

In the net category, Faisal Sayid was top slot with a score of net 69. He was followed by two golfers who were placed at a score of net 70, while Umair Butt was at net 71 and Abid Qureshi at net 73.
