Annual Nazria-i-Pakistan conference today

LAHORE – The fifth annual three-day Nazria-i-Pakistan conference will commence today (Wednesday) at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tahreek-i-Pakistan.
NPT Chairman Dr Majid Nizami will chair the moot while the representative delegates of the ladies and gentlemen from the country as well as from overseas belonging to the different sections of life will attend it.
The central theme of the conference is ‘Our Destination-Greater Pakistan.’
The opening session of this conference ‘emblematic of national solidarity’ will be held at 10am on Wednesday, Feb 27 in which Majid Nizami will perform the flag-hoisting ceremony along with the Gold Medalist workers of Pakistan Movement.
Later on the participants will renew their national pledge. The participants will be welcomed by Pakistan Movement Workers Trust Chairman Col (r) Dr. Jamshed Ahmad Tareen. NPT Vice Chairman Dr Rafique Ahmad will throw light on the objectives of the conference and Mian Farooq Altaf will deliver a vote of thanks. The NPT progress report will be presented at the session. The third session consisting of debates and recommendations will be held at 12:30 pm. Dr Rafique Ahmad, assisted by Dr. Parveen Khan and Professor Dr Rashida Qureshi, will be the chief Coordinator.
The participants will be divided into 7 groups for discussions. The topic for Group 1 will be:’ Transparent Holding of the Upcoming Elections and the Practical Enforcement of the Section 62 and 63 of the constitution:” that of Group 2: “The Role of the Women in the Propagation of the High Islamic and Moral Values”; that of Group 3: “How can the curriculum be harmonized with the requirements of the ideology of Pakistan?” that of Group 4: “Judicial Proceedings in Bangladesh against the Supporters of the United Pakistan;” that of the Group 5: “How can the challenge of the Indian cultural attack on the electronic media be faced”: that of Group 6: How can the ever-increasing Indian water aggression be prevented” and that of Group 7 will be: “The Demands of the Growth of the National Solidarity in Karachi and Quetta perspective.”
The 4th session of the conference entitled “The struggle of the Kashmiris for the Right of self determination and the annexation of Kashmir to Pakistan” will be held at 4:30 pm with President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Muhamamd Yaqoob Khan as the chief guest.
Chief Justice (r) Mian Mehboob Ahmad, Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Au Khanwada Hazrat Sultan Bahu, Sahibzada Mian Waleed Ahmad Sharaqpuri, Sajjada Nashin Astana-e-Aliya Sharaqpur Sharif, Sahahibzada Ahmad Mustafeen Haider Shah Choora Sharif, President Awami Muslim League Sheikh Rashid Ahmad, Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhamamd lqbal Khan, Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhud Ahmad Khan, Deputy Secretary General Jama’at-e lsIami Pakistan, Dr. Fareed Ahmad Paracha and President Nazaria-i-Paksitan Forum, Mirpur, Maulana Muhammad Shafi Josh will address. On the 2nd day of the conference, the 5th session will be held on Thursday Feb 28, at which the special guest Lt. Gen (r) Hamid GuI will address on the topic of ‘Pakistan’s Bright Future”. The 6th Session will be held at 11 am which will be an open one for the participants and audience to express their views.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will preside over the final session on Friday which will include the recommendations of group discussions, suggestions, unanimous resolution, communiqué and concluding address of the president.
Messages: The President, Prime Minister, noted politicians and scholars while congratulating NPT Chairman Majid Nizami’s efforts for holding 5TH annual 3-day NPT conference, have said the conference will bear fruits and recommend solutions to the problems the country is facing these days. They expressed these views through their messages to the Nazria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Majid Nizami and the Trust management. President Asif Zardari said the conduct of the NPC was a commendable task of the NPT Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Nawa-i Waqt Group.
He hoped the conference would create awareness among the new generation about Pakistan Movement, patriotism and the personalities of the Movement. The president said the NPC would give recommendations to erase out provincialism, ethnic difference and sectarianism.
Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf said Nazria-i Pakistan provided a basis for the establishment of Pakistan. Raja lauded the services of Majid Nizami for strengthening democracy and pro-Pakistani sentiments. He said uplifting the Ideology of Pakistan was the need of hour. The conference would develop national harmony and pave a way for promoting unity among. The present government would give due weight to the recommendations of the conference. 
Meanwhile, Col (r) Jamshed Ahmad Tareen, Syed Ghous Ali Shah, Col Amjad Hussain, Sartaj Aziz, Ahmad Saeed Karmani, Col (r) Ikramullah, Ch Zafarullah, Prof Dr MA Sufi, Khurshid Wyne, Begum Surayya K H Khurshid, Begum Afifa Mamdot and others also lauded Majid Nizami’s efforts for conducting a national conference.
