WITH the award season in Hollywood finally over the stars can put their good-luck charms to rest. And having won the accolade of the night at the 2013 Oscars on Sunday, Ben Affleck opted to celebrate his win by shaving off his beard. Whereas, Jennifer Lawrence dyed her hair near jet black for Hunger Games re-shoots... just hours after winning Best Actress Oscar with honey-hued locks.

The 40-year-old Argo director parted ways with his facial hair as he marked ‘the end of a chapter’ at George Clooney’s after-party held at Craig’s restaurant in West Hollywood. According to various reports, Ben pulled out the clippers just hours after he accepted the gold statue for Best Picture at the 85th Academy Awards.

Joined at the party by Argo’s co-producers Grant Heslov and Clooney, as well as co-star Bryan Cranston, Affleck apparently shaved his face in hallway outside a bathroom. It was also alleged that a few people who stood watch as Ben got a trim even joined in to help. Speaking to E! News, a source revealed that the father-of-three decided to get rid of the beard as a toast to new beginnings. The insider said: ‘He did it to mark the end of a chapter. It had that ceremonial quality to it.’ There was no rest for Jennifer Lawrence, as the actress was seen preparing for re-shoots for her upcoming film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The 22-year-old star was seen emerging from the Rossano Ferretti hair salon in Beverly Hills sporting near jet black hair. The Oscar-winning star dyed the honey-hued locks she was sporting on Sunday night as she took to the stage to accept her coveted award. The actress has crossed over to the dark side once again in order to get into her Hunger Games character, Katniss Everdeen. Jennifer is expected to work on re-shoots for the film as soon as this week.                                    –Daily Mail
