A delegation of Turkish investors met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday and expressed interest in investment in manufacturing, paper industry and other sectors.

The Chief Minister on the occasion highlighted the historical, brotherly and friendly relations between Pakistan and Turkey and said economic bonds between the two countries will be strengthened further. “Pakistan attaches high importance to its relations with Turkey,” he said and added that investment by Turk investors group in Punjab will be welcomed. He assured the delegation of all possible help and availability of facilities in the projects in the province.

Shehbaz Sharif also informed the Turk investors that many Turk companies are already investing billion of rupees in solid waste management, transport and other sectors in the province. He said number of these companies is increasing with the passage of time. Khawaja Ahmad Hasaan, Secretary Industry, Chief Executive Officer Punjab Investment Board and concerned officers also jointed the meeting.
