Last night I visited a famous cricket website (www.cricinfo.com). I feel proud and hopeful for the upcoming World Cup after reading the stats given by that website. The website has shown the stats of most destructive batsman in last ten overs in ODIs since Jan 2009. Shahid Afridi leads the way with 10.38 runs per over as he has scored 206 runs of 119 balls in last ten overs. Abdul Razzaq is second on the list as he has scored 297 runs of 194 balls and flamboyant all rounder scores at 9.18 runs per over. Albie Morkel, Elton Chigumbura and Eoin Morgan have scored 8.85, 8.67 and 8.66 run per over in last ten overs respectively. This shows that Pakistan has two all-rounders who have the ability to score heavily in the last overs which is in addition to Kamran Akmal who scores aggressively while opening the innings. If Pakistan team properly utilizes Afridi and Abdul Razzaq (as both can also be sent in middle order position according to match situation), then Pakistan will have a good chance in upcoming World Cup.
