'Killers will soon be caught

LAHORE - Governor Sardar Latif Khosa on Wednesday said police and other security agencies were performing their duties efficiently and those responsible for Urdu Bazaar blast will be traced and punished according to law. Talking to reporters at Mayo Hospital where he inquired after the health of injured persons of Urdu Bazaar incident, the governor said it will not be appropriate at this stage to point finger at any body regarding the incident, as it may affect the process of investigation. He said police was conducting inquiry and whosoever is found guilty of planning the attack will be brought to justice. The governor also paid tributes to those police men who laid their lives to secure lives of their fellow country men. The governor went to every patient and talked to him. He prayed for their early recovery and also invited them at Governor House after they recuperate. Khosa said he was pleased to see the courage of injured persons who were in high spirits and ready to fight against terrorists again. He said he and chief minister Punjab will ensure prompt supply of medicines to the injured. The governor said that such incidents could not weaken nations resolve to defeat terrorists. Earlier, the governor along with chief minister, IGP and CCPO Lahore attended the funeral of martyred police officials and laid wreath on their graves.
