ANISUDDIN KHAN KARACHI - Age has not dimmed the skills of grand master and former world champion M Yousuf who returned to the national scene and is among selected 32 top stars who will be seen in action in the NJI national championships that cues off here January 31 at Karachi Gymkhana. According to the draw of the event issued by the sports governing body PBSA M Yousuf who finished third in the provincial qualifying championship held here recently is placed in group "F" with Imran Qamar (Punjab), Qasim Kamani (Sindh) and Ayaz Khan(Punjab). The semi finalists from each of the four provincial championships and top sixteen PBSA ranked has been invited to appear in the championship. Finalists of the championship will win the right to represent Pakistan in the Asian championship which will be played in India later this year. Yousuf played smartly in the Sindh Cup and despite the tough opposition succeeded in finishing in the top four thus getting a place in the national event. The National championship originally was slated in mid-February but the PBSA with the approval of the sponsors, New Jubilee Insurance, brought forward the event. Following is the draw.
