Former media coordinator of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Khurram Rasool has been taken to the Supreme Court (SC) on Friday.
It should be mentioned here Khurram Rasool involved in fraud of Rs.630 million LNG quota case and a bank loan case of Rs.719.3 million, surrendered to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in late night development.
Talking to media on the occasion, Khurram Rasool said he is innocent and had been receiving life threats, therefore he went underground.
He said his children could not go to schools for one year now. He expressed confidence over the judiciary. The former PM’s aide said he was forced to sign cheques.
Mansoor Muzaffar involved in the case received heart attack during the arrest. He had been shifted to PIMS Hospital.
Mansoor’s family members said he left for office in the morning and was since missing; but later in the night, they were told that he is admitted to a hospital.
At least three different courts have issued three different orders against the former media coordinator of the PM. The apex court ordered to arrest him. As soon as 24 hours passed after the SC ruling, Khurram all of a sudden appeared before a banking court yesterday.
The court, accepting his plea, granted him interim bail till February 2.
Soon afterwards, Rawalpindi’s Accountability Court, announcing three-year imprisonment, issued permanent arrest warrant in bank loan case.
