KARACHI  - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that the Southern Punjab province and the Bahawalpur province should be created before the next general elections as the demand for the provinces reflected the aspirations of millions of people.

This he said while talking to the members of the Coordination Committee at Khursheed Begum Secretariat by telephone, a statement issued here by his party on Saturday stated.

He said that the demand for creating new provinces of Southern Punjab and Bahawalpur were the basic rights of the people.

Those, who are denying these rights and those who want to increase the deprivation of the public, have no sympathy with the people of the areas and the rest of the country, he added.

He assured the people of Southern Punjab and Bahawalpur that the MQM would extend full support to them for their legitimate rights. He also said that his party will field candidates in every constituency of Punjab.
