LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday said that with the cooperation of Turk government, over 2000 houses, four schools, five shopping centers, sports complexes, health centers, mosques and other infrastructure had been completed in the flood affected areas of South Punjab as Prime Ministry Housing Authority Turkey had provided funds for this purpose.

The CM was talking to Turk Ambassador Mustafa Babur Hizlan and a delegation of Turk Construction Company Siyahkalem at Raiwind.

The CM said that cooperation of Turk government, people and Siyahkalem Company for the project of rehabilitation of flood affectees was commendable as well as a reflection of the love they had for the people of Pakistan. He said that the process of distribution of houses among flood affectees will start next month.

The CM said that a likable atmosphere had been provided to the foreign investors in Punjab. Shahbaz Sharif said that investment by Turk Construction Company Siyahkalem in Punjab would be warmly welcomed. The CM directed Chief Secretary to evolve a comprehensive plan for distribution of gift of houses by Prime Ministry Housing Authority Turkey among flood affectees.

The CM appointed Chief Executive Officer Punjab Investment Board as a focal person regarding distribution of houses.

Appreciating the performance of Punjab government on the occasion, Turk Ambassador Mustafa Babur Hizlan said that CM was serving the people round-the-clock. He said that speedy progress in Metro Bus Project was due to Shahbaz Sharif. Members of the delegation of Turk Construction Company said that they were satisfied with the steps of Punjab government for investment in Punjab and the opportunities for investment in the province will be considered.
