Kidnappers cut off youth’s tongue

FAISALABAD (INP) - Kidnappers on Saturday cut off the tongue of a youth whose family failed to arrange ransom for his release.
According to the victim’s father, his son Asif was kidnapped three days ago and the kidnappers demanded Rs0.5 million ransom for his release. Failing to receive any money, the abductors severed the abductee’s tongue.
A case was lodged in Thekri Police Station with victim’s father as plaintiff.
Police said the incident will be investigated in accordance with phone calls and eyewitnesses, adding the incident may be the result of family feud.
Bike stolen: A man was deprived of motorcycle while another was robbed of cash and cellphone in separate incidents occurred here. According to police, Faisal Hussain of Kassoke parked his motorcycle at Fawara Chowk and found it missing upon return.
