SADIQABAD - Former federal minister Raees Munir Ahmad said that the Sindh government had completely failed to provide protection for the people’s lives and property, and added that target killing of political leaders and workers was being carried out under a plan.

He condemned the killing of PML-N Sindh Joint Secretary Mian Taimoor and his father in Karachi. He criticised the provincial government and termed the rulers silent spectators of the target killings in the city. He also demanded early arrest of the killers, saying that the people of Sadiqabad were in deep affliction over the target killing of the PML-N leaders.

He said that the country was passing through a critical phase, adding that the everyday target killings are ample evidence that there was no law and order in the province and the law of Jungal is prevailing there. “Our hearts are shedding blood tears over the killings. A sense of insecurity is getting deeper among the people due to target killings while the rulers have focused their energy on strengthening their rule.

He appealed to the chief justices of Pakistan and the Sindh High Court to take notice of the target killings and order immediate arrest of the killers.
