Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that setting up of a crime free and  peaceful society is his mission. Protection of life, property and honor of citizens is the prime responsibility of police.

He expressed these views while presiding a high-level meeting ,which reviewed law and order situation in the province. Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sana Ullah Khan, Advocate General Punjab, Secretary Home, Acting Inspector General of Police, Additional IGs, Prosecutor General Punjab, DIG Operations, DIG Investigation and officers concerned were present.

He said that police  should utilize all its energies for the provision of justice to the masses and redressal of grievances of the aggrieved. He said that modern technology should be fully utilized for the eradication of crime and curbing of criminals.

He said that indiscriminate action should be taken against the criminal elements irrespective of their influence as those societies lose their existence where justice is available only to those who can pay.
