PST holds demo against terrorism in country

Lahore - Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST) held a protest demonstration against the current wave of terrorism in the country and killings of Muslims in Burma.
While, Insaf Student Federation (ISF) organised a candle lighting event to pay homage to the martyrs of Mastung tragedy and victims of other terror events, besides holding Fateha Khawani.
Local leaders of PST, Mujahid Abdul Rasool Khan and Muhammad Tahir Dogar led the protest demonstration in front of the Lahore Press Club on Sunday.
The protesters were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the terror elements demanding no talks with extremists till bringing them to book for their terrorist acts against children, women, security forces personnel and media men, besides attacks on the mausoleums of sufi saints.
PST leaders addressing the participants demanded guarantee from the government and pro-talks parties with TTP that no person of the state would be assassinated on the basis of sect or religion in the future.
They further demanded that all the political and religious forces and families of the victims of terrorism should be taken on board for devising a strategy.
They said that Ahle-Sunnat religious parties were not invited for an APC to evolve a strategy regarding terrorism.
PST leaders also asked the heads of Muslim states, United Nations and human rights organisations to take serious notice of killings of Muslims in Burma.
Meanwhile, ISF provincial and local leaders including Muneeb Aleem Awan, Waqas Iftikhar and Gulraiz Iqbal organised a candle lighting event at Faisal Chowk to pay respects to the martyrs of Mastung incident and other activities of terrorism, besides Fateha Khawani.
ISF leaders urged unity among the nation to counter the menace of terrorism.
They asked the rulers to take concrete steps to counter terrorism.
