ISLAMABAD - The federal government has appointed Usman Akhtar Bajwa, a grade-20 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Services as Chairman Capital Development Authority.

A notification issued by the Establishment Division said, “with the approval of the federal government, Usman Akhtar Bajwa, a BS-20 officer of PAS, presently posted as Director General Immigration and Passports under Interior Division, is transferred and posted as Member of the Board in terms of Section 6(1) of Capital Development Authority Ordinance 1960, with immediate effect”.

The notification further said that “ Upon his posting as a member of the board, Bajwa, is appointed as Chairman Capital Development Authority under Capital Administration and Development Division, in terms of Section 6(2) &(3) of Capital Development Authority Ordinance 1960.”

The post was lying vacant after removal of Mayor Islamabad from the post by the Islamabad High Court a few weeks back.
