SIALKOT - Police again got three girls medically re-examined after the nine months of the their alleged gang rape. Hajipura-based Khurram Shehzad told the police that his three daughters Saman (11), Sumairia (10) and Sania (9) were allegedly raped by four accused Ashfaq, Sagar, Iqbal and Nasir on April 20, 2017.

He added that the accused were his close relatives who allegedly raped the girls after kidnapping them over an old property dispute and fled away after throwing them in critical condition.

The police had registered a case and arrested the accused. Later, after the thorough investigation, the police had discharged the case declaring it baseless and fictitious. The police said that report was negative after the medical examination of these girls. Now the police had again got them medically examined following the mounted pressure of the family.

The family had staged a protest camp in front of the Lahore Press Club for the last two months, demanding justice from Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif. They had refused to go back to Sialkot without getting justice in the case. Later, Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Asad Sarfraz Khan brought the family back to Sialkot after assuring them of early justice.

Sialkot police produced the said three minor sisters before the medical board at Govt Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot. The medical board re-examined the girls after the nine months of the incident. The board has sent the samples for tests to Punjab Frances Laboratory Lahore.

SHO Ejaz Ahmed said that the re-examination report would confirm that these minor girls were raped or not.
