Court grants pre-arrest bail to man allegedly involved in grabbing land frozen by NAB

rawalpindi-A court of law has granted pre-arrest bail to a notorious land grabber booked by Chontra police for his involvement in grabbing 650 kanals of land frozen by country’s top anti-graft body from an accused of Modarba scandal in 2014 in Mouza Chihan, informed sources on Tuesday.
Police Station (PS) Chontra officials had registered a case against Saeen Fazal Inam under section 447 (Criminal Trespass) of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on complaint of Muhammad Salim Ahmed Khan, Additional Director National Accountability Bureau (NAB), they said. The case was lodged against the crime boss-cum-land mafia king Saeen Fazal Inam on orders of City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younas, sources said.
According to details, a court of area magistrate has awarded pre-arrest bail to Saeen Fazal Inam, a land grabber involved in occupying land frozen by NAB from accused of Modarba scandal. The court ordered the accused to appear before the police officer and to record his statement, they said. Earlier, AD NAB Staff Muhammad Salim Ahmed Khan lodged a complaint with CPO Rawalpindi stating the anti-graft body had frozen under section NAO 1999 some 650 kanals of land located in Mouza Chahan under mutation numbers 6106/6107/6108/6109 from possession of Asif Javed alias Moulvi Ibrahim and others (Modarba scandal reference number 06/2014) as per court order dated 11/6/2014. He added a person namely Saeen Fazal Inam had illegally encroached the said piece of land. 
He told police the land revenue officers of Revenue Department also confirmed the illegal occupation of Saeen Inam on the land. AD NAB Muhammad Salim Ahmed Khan requested city police chief to register a case against Saeen Fazal Inam and to recover the government land from his clutches. 
CPO Muhammad Ahsan Younas, while taking action, forwarded the application to SHO PS Chontra and ordered him for registration of First Information Report (FIR) against land mafia king Saeen Fazal Inam. Following the orders of top cop, SHO PS Chontra has registered a criminal case against accused and started investigation. However, no arrest was made so far by the police, sources said. Sources added that scores of cases ranging from murder, attempted murder, terrorism land grabbing and corruption had been registered against Saeen Inam in police stations of twin cities as well as Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Rawalpindi Region but he is still out of reach of police. 
Meanwhile, Saeen Inam along with his armed goons (mostly belonging to Afghanistan and residing in Pakistan illegally under the shelter of Wali Jan) launched armed attack on security guards of a private housing society in Mandowal Rajhar to grab 300 kanals of land. 
When contacted, Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Division Zia Uddin Ahmed confirmed that Chontra police booked land grabber Saeen Inam on complaint of NAB for grabbing government land illegally in Mouza Chahan. He said the investigators would get pre-arrest bail of Saeen Inam cancelled from court and to arrest him. He also confirmed about occurrence of firing incident in Chontra at midnight. “There was firing in the village last night but nobody sustained injuries,” he said. He said police are struggling to maintain law and order situation in Chontra.
