Brother of Hangu Nazim, three others kidnapped

HANGU - Some unknown people on Saturday kidnapped four persons, including a brother of the District Nazim Hangu, from Hangu-Kohat Road. So far no one has claimed responsibility for the incident but it is believed that Taliban militants are behind the kidnapping. As per details, Tehsin Ullah, brother of Haji Khan Afzal, was coming to Hangu from Bannu on his motorcar along with his three friends. When they reached near Hangu, some unknown persons intercepted and kidnapped them. Later, they were shifted to an unknown place. District Nazim Haji Khan Afzal, who belongs to Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (Fazl), has confirmed the kidnapping of his brother and three other persons. Haji Khan Afzal is a key figure in the ongoing efforts for reconciliation between the government and the Taliban militants. Haji Khan Afzal also said his family has no enmity with anyone and he could not blame anyone of the incident without having any solid information in this respect. Apart from the brother of the District Nazim, other two kidnapped persons were Qudrat Ullah and Kheyal Bad Khan. The name of the thirds one couldn't be ascertained. It is pertinent to mention here that some alleged militants are involved in kidnapping for ransom and snatching vehicles at gunpoint for their 'Islamic Jihad against the United States'.
