Govt considering to reduce diesel price, subsidy

The government is considering a strategy of reducing both the price of diesel and the subsidy. Acting secretary Oil & Gas and Natural Resources G. A. Sabri in an interview with a private TV channel has said, that the prices of petroleum products were reviewed in a meeting of the special committee, constituted on directive of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani. He further said that the government is giving a subsidy of Rs 35.42 on diesel. According to the secretary Petroleum, after the formula of reducing the price of diesel and subsidy is completed.
