KARACHI - Federal Law Minister Farooq Naek said Saturday if any deposed judge wanted to take fresh oath the government would welcome him. Talking to reporters at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport, he said the government was ready to welcome the deposed judges to rejoin their posts. Commenting on the constitutional package, he said that the package was not being delayed by the government but still the coalition partners had not sent any suggestion to bring the proposed constitutional package in the Parliament to restore the judges. He said that the draft of the constitutional package was sent to all the coalition partners for final approval. The Law Minister said that PPP wanted to restore deposed judges under parameters of the Constitution and to resolve the deposed judges' issue permanently. He said Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had not sent any summary to the Chief Justice of Supreme Court to appoint five deposed judges of the Sindh High Court. Naek said the government was committed to reinstate the deposed judges, however it would not take any step to bypass the Constitution. He said the government would take all steps under the Constitution. The ministe, later visited Boat Club where he met members of Administration Committee of Sindh High Court comprising Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan Azizullah M Memon, Justice Nadeem Azhar, Justice Qazi Khalid, Justice Qaisar Iqbal, Justice Yasmeen Abbasi and others.
