I want to share two almost identical incidents here that show the brazenness of our high officials; (1). On July 20, 2007 a full bench reinstated Chief Justice of Pakistan set aside all allegations on CJP by President of Pakistan but very surprisingly the person responsible did not resign. (2). On July 8, 2008 a bench of Supreme Court judges dismissed an appeal filed by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) against a Lahore High Court (LHC) ruling that had allowed Director Special Projects to continue his job despite being fired by the Chairman, Pakistan Cricket Board. Surprisingly, the Chairman has shown no intentions to step down and is going to UK for yet another luxurious ride on the expense of the taxpayers. -ABDUL RAUF, Fateh Jang, via e-mail, July 11.
