LAHORE - Jamaat-e-Islami has announced holding Kashmir Freedom March from Lahore to Wahga Border on July 31 and a women rally to show solidarity with the people of India occupied valley on August 4 in Karachi.

JI secretary general Liaqat Baloch with other party leaders made the announcement during a press conference at Lahore Press Club yesterday.

Addressing media, he called upon the United Nations and international community to fulfil their legal and moral responsibility to resolve the Kashmir issue.

“Ensuring self-determination rights to the people of Kashmir is the legal and moral responsibility of UN,” Baloch said.

He demanded of the government to actively pursue the Kashmir cause and not to bow before India. Paying tribute to the struggle of Kashmiri freedom fighters, he said the JI would continue moral support to of their brothers.

World must realise that India and Pakistan were atomic counties and made sincere efforts to resolve the burning issue, he said.

Baloch said thousands of Pakistani will participate in JI’s Kashmir Freedom March and women rally.
