ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has sought suggestions from all the affiliated federations regarding funds allocation for the year 2016-2017. The source in the PSB told this scribe that the PSB finance committee meeting would be held in the first week of August under the chair of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) joint secretary, in which it would decide about allocating special grants, annual grants, training and international events’ participation of the 38 affiliated federations in detail and things would be finalised according to the suggestions made by the federations. “The PSB will receive first installment from federal government allocated funds through Ministry of Finance in next couple of days,” the sources said. Pakistan Sports Board Director National Federations and Admin M Azam Dar said the PSB had started working on allotment of funds to the affiliated federations and the final approval would be taken during the PSB finance committee meeting. “We have requested all the affiliated federations to send their recommendations as quickly as possible,” Dar said.
