Qaim resigns as Murad Shah expected to take over as CM

KARACHI: Syed Qaim Ali Shah submitted his resignation as Sindh Chief Minister to Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad on Wednesday

According to our correspondent, the outgoing chief minister visited Governor House and handed his resignation to the governor.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leadership had decided to make changes in Sindh cabinet including the chief minister in a meeting co-chaired by former President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Dubai.

Bilawal nominated provincial Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah as successor of Qaim Ali Shah.

The upcoming chief minister has vowed to steer the province out of political and administrative crisis.

In an interview Shah said all political forces will be taken onboard for the betterment of province. “All issues will be resolved with consultation,” he said.

He also pledged to address problems of water shortage, education, health and sanitation.

Syed Murad Ali Shah will take oath of his office on Friday.
