LAHORE - A teenage boy was recovered murdered from the Badami Bagh area on Wednesday, a day after he went on missing under mysterious circumstances. The police recovered the sack-packed body of the boy, later identified as Ahsan Ali, 14, from the Gundian Bumbian area at the Bund Road. Some passersby spotted the suspected bag and alerted the police. The body was removed to the morgue for autopsy. The police termed the brutal killing as blind murder and are investigating to unearth the killers, keeping in view various aspects of the happening. The police have also registered a murder case against unidentified killers with no arrest made yet. A police officer said that the autopsy report would ascertain whether the killers assaulted the boy sexually before strangulating him to death.  Police investigators say they believe the motive behind the killing could be old enmity since the grandfather and uncle of the deceased had also been murdered in the past. Shootout An alleged robber was killed during ‘shootout’ in the Faisal Town area, police said on Wednesday. Police claimed they signaled four suspected motorcyclists to stop at PN Chowk picket for routine checking but they opened fire on the policemen, triggering an armed encounter late on Tuesday night. As a result, one of the bandits was killed during the crossfire while his three accomplices managed to escape from the crime scene.  The body, unidentified so far, was removed to the morgue for autopsy. Sources claimed that the accused had been in police custody for the last couple of weeks and the police staged the encounter to close his chapter since he was a notorious gangster. Further investigation is underway.
