The District Police have busted 13 gangs of criminals and arrested 41 gangster besides recovering booty worth millions from their possession, disclosed DPO Sharik Kamal Sadiq. Addressing a news conference here, the DPO added that the teams of the district police launched crackdown on criminals and recovered motorbikes, cars, household articles and cash from their possession. The police also recovered a child without paying ransom. He said that the smashed gangs included Mumtaz Joya Gang, Umeri Gang, Fani Gang, Tanveer Gang, Ismayel Gang, Fetheh Khan Gang, Tarqi Gang, Mohsin Abbas Gang, Banyamin Gang, Ammo Gang, Munshi Gang, Asri Gang and Shahid alias Sindhi. He told the journalists that the arrested gangsters had been involved in crimes like murders, robberies, cars and motorbike lifting. He warned the outlaws to quit anti-social activities otherwise Vehari Police would deal them with iron hand. He also claimed that the police arrested 119 A-category wanted by police and 123 B-category wanted culprits in 12 days. He claimed that recovered articles were handed over to the owners. He claimed that the police not only recovered kidnapped Abdullah without paying a single penny and also arrested the kidnappers. DSP Rao Naeem Aziz, DSP Mukhtar Joya, DSP Traffic Raja ShahidNazir, SHOs’, Anjaman-e-Tajran leaders and members of civil society were also present on the occasion.
