LAHORE - A state-of-the-art Cardiac Centre at Shalamar Teaching Hospital was inaugurated by Rasheeda Begum, wife of founding trustee Chaudhary Nazar Muhammad (Late). Her family, Chairman Board of Trustee Ch Ahmad Saeed, Chief Operating Officer, Shalamar Hospital Prof Ahmed Wasim Yusuf, and Principal Shalamar Medical & Dental College Prof Zahid Bashir were also present.
Chief Executive, Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences, Brig (r) Anis Ahmed delivered the welcome address. Head of Cardiology Dr Kamran Babar and Head of Cardiac Surgery Dr Ammar Hameed Khan briefed about the facilities of Rasheeda Begum Cardiac Centre (RBCC). With the most modern medical equipments, it will provide the services of angiography, angioplasty, cardiac by-pass, vascular surgery etc.
Ch Saeed said the establishment of Cardiac Centre is a great initiative towards the treatment of cardiac patients. “It will be one of the best heart centers of Punjab, where all types of cardiac treatment will be provided to the patients,” he added.
