rawalpindi - The homicide investigation unit (HIU) has identified the dead bodies of a female and a four-year-old child who were killed along with a man by unknown killers a week ago. The dead bodies were identified as Nosheen Bibi and her son Muhammad Siddique son of Muhammad Shafique. They were residents of Tarnol area of Islamabad, sources disclosed to The Nation yesterday.

Both the dead bodies were buried in Pirwadhai graveyard temporarily by police after holding their funeral prayer at 6:00am on Sunday. However, the investigators are still clueless about the killers, sources said. On June 20, 2016, Saddar Bairooni police, on information provided by the locals, recovered three dead bodies from the bank of a nullah in Gorakhpur area and shifted them to District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem. Later, the investigators identified one of the dead bodies as of Muhammad Bilal, a resident of Sukhoo, Doltala. However, the two other bodies remained unidentified.

According to sources, a citizen namely Tahir of Dhoke Paracha approached Saddar Bairooni police and told the cops that girl whose dead body was found on the bank of nullah was his sister and her name was Nosheen while the child Muhammad Siddique was his nephew. He further told the cops Nosheen married with her cousin Muhammad Shafique and later took divorce and contracted second marriage with a man namely Atif, a resident of Dhoke Hayyat, Gujar Khan.

He told investigators that Atif phoned him at 8:00am on Sunday and informed him that dead bodies of Nosheen and Siddique were lying in mortuary of DHQ Hospital. However, according to sources, Tahir informed investigators that his sister had been missing for the last 11 months and nobody knew about her whereabouts.

An HIU investigator, who is probing the triple murder case, on condition of anonymity confirmed the development saying police were approached by the brother of the deceased lady who revealed her identity. He said that police were still clueless about the killers and trying to solve the blind murder case.
