NANKANA SAHIB-Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday suspended the District Coordination Officer, the EDO Health and the DHQ Hospital Medical Superintendent for negligence.

The chief minister made a surprise visit to the hospital without prior notice. He went around different wards of the hospital, met with patients and attendants, who complained about shortage of medicines and poor cleanliness arrangements.

Shehbaz expressed his displeasure and ordered suspension of the DCO, EDO Health and MS DHQ.

He also ordered to improve condition of the hospital that deals with hundreds of patients.

The Punjab CM warned that stern action would be taken against the officials if they fail to improve condition of the hospital.
