ATTOCK - Two-day long death anniversary activities of ‘Maharaja Ranjeet Singh’’ concluded here yesterday at Gurdwara Siri Punja Sahib Hasanabdal.

As many as 448 Indian Sikh pilgrims who had arrived by special train participated in the celebrations.

Deputy Secretary General Shrines Syed Faraz Abbas said on the occasion that 448 Indian Sikh pilgrims headed by SGPC leaders Gurmeet Singh and Sardar Baldev Singh participated in the anniversary.

He said that maximum facilities were provided to the Sikh pilgrims.

The Sikh pilgrims during their two-day stay recited their holy book, had holy bath and offered other rituals.

Faraz said that the Sikh pilgrims were provided all facilities which included boarding, meals and health free of cost.

Chief Security Officer Muhammad Naeem said that almost 700 police personnel were deployed to provide foolproof security to the Sikh pilgrims.

Sikh Gurdwara Purbhandak Committee (SGPC) Leaders Gurmeet Singh and Sardar Buldev Singh while talking to this scribe, expressed their satisfaction over the arrangements made for them here at the Gurdwara.
