MUZAFFARABAD: Acute water scarcity has hit Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) is under fire for failing to ensure smooth water supply to the residents of Gojra, Thori Park, Shaukat Line, Old Secretariat, Tariqabad and Shoai. The residents of these areas have been facing acute water shortage for the last many days and they have to walk for miles to fetch water from springs. The residents have threatened to stage a protest against the PHED, if it fails to supply water during the fasting month.–Online
