LAHORE - Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Sirajul Haq has rejected the government claim that the recent budget is a step forward to achieve the goal to transform Pakistan into a Madina-like-state as another blatant lie and hollow slogan to deceive masses yet another time. “Does the government seriously believe the interest based-economy and massive taxation on poor masses is a way forward to achieve the objective of welfare state,” he questioned while addressing the JI Majlis-i-Shoora at Mansoora on Saturday. The three-day session of the JI top decision making body will conclude on Sunday. Different resolutions were passed during the meeting which also discussed at length the economy and Kashmir and Afghanistan situations.
