Raisani, rebel ministers settle differences

QUETTA - Balochistan govt has withheld the notification of dismissal of five provincial ministers issued by Chief Minister after settlement of differences. The ministers who were sacked earlier Thursday from the provincial Cabinet included PPP parliamentary leader Sadiq Ali Umrani, Babu Amin Umrani, Jan Ali Changezi, Asfandyar Kakar and Agha Irfan Karim. All sacked ministers belonged to PPP. They had announced they would present their resignation to President Asif Zardari against the non-cooperation by Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani. The CM had taken serious notice of the allegations levelled by the ministers and had issued notification of their dismissal. Raisani while talking to media said that the ministers were sacked due to their negative attitude and violation of code of conduct. The CM accused Sadiq Ali Umrani of hatching conspiracies to become Chief Minister. He declared he himself would hold the portfolios of the sacked ministers. However, later on, addressing a Press conference, Federal Minister of State for Ports and Shipping and member CEC PPP Nabeel Ahmed Gabol who played an important role to end the crisis said the ministers who were dismissed earlier had met Chief Minister Raisani and their complaints have been removed. He said that the matter to the extent of sacking of ministers had been resolved, however, President Asif Ali Zardari himself would decide how to tackle the matter of violation of discipline of the party by the ministers. "The Co-Chairman of the party has taken notice of violation of discipline of party," he added. He expressed his party's satisfaction over the performance of CM Balochistan and said that Raisani was efficiently running the business of the province. Talking to newsmen, Sadiq Ali Umrani and Asfandyar Kakar said that their problem was not solved yet. They said that they had not tendered resignation rather they were dismissed by the Chief Minister. They alleged that through a conspiracy CM dismissed them while conspiracies were being hatched against them and PPP in Balochistan. They said that they had not committed any violation or misconduct.
