HAFIZABAD - Dr Chirs Schmotzer, director of the Aid to Leprosy Patients, a sister organisation of MALC, has said that leprosy patients deserve full sympathy and affection as the disease is curable easily at its initial stages.

Addressing a workshop held under the auspices of the Health Department and was attended by more than 30 doctors of district and tehsil headquarters hospitals and Rural Health Centres of the district to create awareness about the disease and about treatment. She said, “Instead of showing hatred towards the patients, we should pay full attention and sympathies to them as the disease is curable. Special arrangements have been made in the hospitals at Lahore, Rawalpindi and other big cities where such patients are being provided medical treatment.”

She also urged the doctors to create awareness among the masses so that such patients can be medically treated and made able to pass their lives like common citizens.
