SADIQABAD - The PML-N’s Punjab Parliamentary Board interviewed the aspirants of the party tickets from Bahawalpur Division to contest the forthcoming general elections.

Led by central leaders Ishaq Dar, Zulfikar Khosa, the board consisted of former MNAs Arshad Laghari ,f Mian Baleeghur Rehman rom Bahawalpur, Rana Tanveer Ahmad and Shahid Khakan Abbasi. The board members put different questions to the ticket aspirants and got information. Later, the PML-N Parliamentary Board of Punjab held a meeting under the chair of Sardar Zulfikar Khosa and prepared recommendations about the applicants from the Bahawalpur Division.

The recommendations would be sent to PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif in black and white. In a few days to come, the PML-N in light of these recommendations would announce the board’s decision regarding the party candidates for the National Assembly and Punjab Assembly constituencies in the division. The local people expect that Arshad Laghari and former federal minister Raees Munir were the strong candidates for the party ticket for the National Assembly seat.

When contacted on telephone, Arshad Laghari, a member of the board, said that the board had taken no decision so far and expressed the hope an announcement in this regard would be made in a couple of days.
