KARACHI  - Mothers have a very significant role towards the rearing and training of their children as well as successfully moulding their lives.
This was stated by the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal, while expressing his views at a condolence reference at the institution, said an official on Tuesday.
The reference was held to mourn the demise of Dr Zafar Iqbal’s mother who passed away recently.
The Vice-Chancellor said that he has attained the position because of the guidance and prayers of his mother who supported him at every juncture with her advice.
He expressed gratitude to all those who offered condolences on the death of his mother.
The Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Commerce and Economics, Dr Sulaman D Muhammad, said that our religion enjoins upon us to fully respect our parents especially the mothers and take full care of them as it has been pointed out that the paradise lies beneath the feet of the mother.
The faculty, staff and the students of the FUUAST also attended the condolence reference.
