As many as 478 students who have passed matriculation, intermediate and other examinations with distinction were awarded scholarships worth Rs2.2 million out of District Benevolent Fund at a ceremony held here on Wednesday.

The government employees’ children who passed the examinations by getting more than 90 percent marks were awarded Rs50,000 each. DCO Mansoor Qadir congratulated the recipients and their parents and exhorted the students to continue working hard.

Achieve distinction in the future as well to brighten their career and play their vital role in the progress and prosperity of the nation.

The recipients and their parents thanked the Punjab chief minister for the noble gesture to encourage the students.
