Washington -Eminem and Outkast will headline this year’s Lollapalooza music festival in the US.

The Survival rapper and the Mighty O hip-hop duo will take to the stage at the event in Chicago in August. Eminem was previously rumoured to be appearing but his headlining slot has now been confirmed. He last had top billing at the event in 2011.

Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell said: ‘He’s on top of his game and he’s doing a great show. His live show is incorporating really well-made video and guest appearances.’ Lorde, Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Skrillex and Calvin Harris will also play the festival.
