During the visit of President Mamnoon Hussain here, thousands of policemen were deployed for security purpose. Five SPs, 10 DSPs, 31 Inspectors, 113 Sub Inspectors, 200 ASIs and 2,870 police constables were present on the occasion and providing protection and security for the president in Faisalabad.
Despite the deployment of police ubiquitously around the city, the rout of president was changed and he reached the city by a helicopter after landing at Faisalabad Airport.
The media persons were stopped from covering the activities of the president during his one-day visit. According to sources, upon the directives of Information Ministry and Awan-e-Saddar, the private media were stopped from covering the event. However, no invitation were given to the private media so that journalists could not ask any question from the president.
