SWAT - The University of Swat started tree plantation drive as part of the 'Green Pakhtunkhwa Campaign' of the provincial government at the Charbagh Campus of the university the other day. Imran, In-charge Social Work of the university, said that apart from students, Departmental Coordinator of Media and Communication Studies Rafi Ullah, Coordinator of Centre for Management and Commerce Abdul Mateen and some other teachers also took part in the campaign.
He said on the first day of the campaign they planted 1,000 saplings at the site.
He said that 7,000 more saplings would be planted under the plantation campaign. He said that administration of all affiliated colleges were asked to take part in the tree plantation drive, which is aimed to maintain natural beauty of Swat.
