ISLAMABAD - PML-N Quaid and two times Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif is likely to replace his younger brother Mian Shahbaz Sharif as party President, TheNation reliably on Tuesday. Party sources said the matter would be discussed at the relevant party fora ahead of a final decision in this regard. Nawaz Sharif, sources said would also contest election for the National Assembly from NA-123 Lahore that is still lying vacant. They said that he has also got an opportunity to contest elections from the NA-55 Rawalpindi, which fell vacant as a result of resignation tendered by the party MNA Haji Pervez Khan in an examination scam. Sources further said that Nawaz Sharif, once elected, to the National Assembly, would decide whether to become opposition leader by replacing Ch Nisar Ali Khan or to remain party parliamentary leader. Sources insisted that this issue would also be placed before the Partys Central Executive Committee as well as Parliamentary Party in the National Assembly for consent. However some party sources were of the view that Nawaz Sharif might opt for the slot of parliamentary leader of his party in the National Assembly and permit Nisar Ali Khan to continue as Opposition Leader.
