Afghan- returned militant nabbed

ISLAMABAD - Police officials from the area of I-10/1 sector on Wednesday arrested a militant involved in fighting war in Afghanistan and referring 18-20 years youngsters to Miranshah training camp, here on Wednesday. According to the details, informer told police that three Taliban like men were present opposite I-10/1 sector near green belt possessing explosive material. Tahir Iqbal, sub-inspector M Ashiq, head constable M Nawaz, M Akram, Sanober Khan and Sajid along with the experts of bomb disposal squared cordoned off the said area. They tactfully succeeded in arresting the three accused M Naeem son of Mudar, resident of Batkhela Malakand Agency, Noorullah son of Shah Muhammad, resident of Tehsil Mamoon, Bajaur Agecy, and Saleem Ullah son of Lal Ahmed, resident of Tehsil Mamoon, Bajoau Agency. During the search, police recovered one hand grenade from the possession of accused M Naeem. According to the preliminary investigations, the accused Naeem confessed his involvement in fighting war in Afghanistan. It was also revealed that M Naeem was involved in convincing the youngsters between ages 18 to 20 to join terrorist training camps in Miranshah. DIG Bani Ameen and SSP Tahir Aalm Khan have announced cash prizes and letters of appreciation for the officers who foiled the terrorist plan.
