ANF seizes 243kg heroin, nabs 2 culprits

KARACHI The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Wednesday claimed to have caught two drug-peddlers red-handed with a huge quantity of heroin, worth billions of rupees at Sea Port Karachi. ANF officials said an ANF team conducted a raid at Seaport and seized 243 kg of heroin, from two containers. The contraband was concealed in wooden furniture and water dispensers, both containers were destined for West Africa and Gana. The ANF took the containers into custody and arrested two accused, identified as Khan Saeed and Muhammad Riaz. One of the culprits belongs to Peshawar while the other is from Narowal. A case has been registered against the accused under section 9 C of CNS Act 1997. The officials further said the price of the seized heroin was in billions of rupees in the International market. Further investigation is underway and big disclosure is expected.
