It is a known fact that students all over the world are a power to reckon with. The 'student power can resist any big power, even that of the military. The great problem, though, is that students are mostly between the age of 17 and 24. At this age, called the youth of life, one can be very delicate and very emotional. This is the age when one chooses a path or field to follow for the rest of life. His mind can be easily altered tor moulded for anything. That means someone, if he has the skill, can use the young for destruction as well as a revolution. In our history, big events were caused by students. Remember how Pakistan came into being? What was the secret weapon of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah? Students, of course. Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah was one of those who knew power of the young, especially if it was led by the educated youth which formed the nucleus of student power. He was adept at taking control of students emotions and used that skill to employ them for the job of fighting for a free state for Muslims of India. Students were the force that made Pakistan come into being. If Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad AIi Jinnah had not had their support, today there would be no Pakistan. -MUZNA KHAN, Karachi, May 26.
