ISLAMABAD (APP) - Pakistan and Libya emphasised on further improving bilateral trade and commercial relations by taking advantage of new business opportunities. Chairman (Minister) of Privatisation and Investment Board of Libya Dr. Gamal M. Lamushi and Pakistans Ambassador to Libya Jamil Ahmed Khan discussed the whole gamut of relations in a meeting in Tripoli. Talking to APP, Jamil Ahmed informed that Pakistani business community would get new lucrative opportunities in Libya in sectors of textiles, leather, petrochemicals, minerals and food processing. The Libyan Minister offered lucrative projects to Pakistani business community with meagre investment by taking over industries undergoing privatisation in Libya. The Libyan Minister agreed to receive Pakistani business community for the first hand inspection of Libyan industries under privatisation which could be given to them on attractive rates. The Libyan Minister also informed the Ambassador that he would take Libyan investors to Pakistan in the month of October after doing some homework for investment in Pakistan in energy and oil and gas sectors. A joint team has also been formulated comprising senior officials of Libyan Privatisation & Investment Board and Commercial Secretary in Embassy of Pakistan Muhammad Waqas Azeem. The joint team will meet regularly on fortnightly basis in order to fine tune the road map which would facilitate the business community.
